About Us

First published in 2013, the Stanford Economic Review (formerly Comparative Advantage) is the only undergraduate economics publication at Stanford University.

Our research journal is run entirely by an editorial staff of Stanford undergraduates, whose diverse academic backgrounds reflect the highly interdisciplinary nature of economics. From work submitted by undergraduates around the world, we select and publish outstanding articles on topical subjects that deliver perspective, clarity, and insight driven by economic ideas and analysis.

Starting in 2021, we have begun placing a greater emphasis on commentaries, aiming to broaden our horizons beyond our journal. By publishing short pieces about current economic issues, we hope to provide a platform for undergraduate students to share their thoughts about modern economic trends.

We are supported by the student-run Stanford Economics Association.
